Metamorphany Changemakers is new and on a mission—dedicated to help our local communities, empower our young minds, lift organizations, young professionals and (new) leaders to a higher level, and accelerate the development and deployment of sustainable solutions to issues that matter and affect us all—locally and globally, today and in the future.

We help organizations—private & public, profit & non-profit, local, regional & national—develop innovative and sustainable solutions for complex and/or pressing challenges. We facilitate transformational change by training you, your colleagues and community members on innovation techniques, product/service/strategy development, including collaborative decision making and pitching of new concepts to important stakeholders.

We organize and facilitate Themed Innovation Events (Innovation Games, Hackathons and Innovation Challenges) during which we help increase awareness for many local and global social issues while developing new and sustainable solutions for them. We do this in and with the local communities, because we believe that the only way to effectively impact globally is to innovate locally first.

Ultimately, our primary focus is to help and empower you and all of our global citizens, our local communities. We take on challenges from public and private organizations to accelerate sustainable change and impact above and beyond our local communities.

We facilitate the design and development of sustainable (not band-aid) solutions that don’t have to cost millions or require years of decision making meetings. In the process we train our members and event participants on creative and collaborative solution finding methodologies that have proven to change people’s lives.

We are linked to a network of dedicated and multidisciplinary specialists, "Extrapreneurs" and "Innovators" who believe that our young minds—our next-generation—must play a key part in finding sustainable solutions for many of the challenges they will inherit from the generation(s) before them.

We believe that sustainable solutions lie not just in the development of new products and services. Sustainable impact by anything new can only be achieved through the endorsement and collaboration of many, preferably all of us. Only then will we also be able to bring about a transformational behavioural change in our societies and build the new leadership we require. It is imperative that we work together, create a joint ownership of our local and global issues, and joint-responsibility for our solutions. We should not wait for our leaders to lead the way. We can lead our world leaders in the right direction instead.

Metamorphany believes in community-centred innovation and utilizing the intrinsic fresh perspectives of the new generation(s). Our mission is threefold.

    Believe and Empower

    We, first and foremost, believe in the strength of our young minds of today and tomorrow. We believe that with the right guidance they will be able to ask the questions we have not yet thought of, and find the solution directions that have not yet been invented. We believe, we require their genius minds and a new type of thinking. Like Einstein said,

    "We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used to create them."

    We believe that we do not just need a little bit of new. We need a whole lot of it.

    Partner and Bridge

    As a think tank and facilitator of change our second mission is to bridge the socioeconomic divide and help (re)build the middle class again—together with the help of all of you.

    While the number of millionaires and billionaires globally is higher than it has ever been, the middle class—the backbone of every economy—has rapidly grown thinner in many places. And the number of people living below or near the poverty line continues to increase.

    As innovators and changemakers, we see the complexity and interconnectedness of many of our local and global issues. We believe, however, that many of our challenges are one way or another either caused or fed by the scale of socioeconomic inequality we see today in our cities and countries. We believe that we are able to successfully turn the tide...TOGETHER!

    Enable and Realize

    The third pillar in our mission finds its origin in 2015, when our world leaders vowed to realize 17 primary interconnected goals by 2030. Since then a lot of work has been done to create global awareness for these 17 Sustainable Development Goals, also known as The Global Goals. Today (2019), still too many people are unfamiliar with The Global Goals.

    Metamorphany Changemakers helps ensure that every individual in your local community is made aware of The Global Goals and its underlying sub-goals, especially our students, teachers and local influencers.

    But as important as 'awareness' is, awareness of issues alone will not automatically lead to solutions for them. Our mission therefore is to help individuals and communities identify how the underlying issues, related to the Global Goals, touch their own living and work environment. And we offer our expertise and services to communities, municipalities, organizations and its leaders and help them accelerate the development of sustainable (not band-aid) solutions for those issues.

Imagine what we can do when we listen to each other's individual strengths and bundle them into sustainable solutions that most deem(ed) impossible. That's the thing with solutions that are born from within the community itself. WE are the owners of the challenges, together...that's inherent to living and being part of a community. This also gives us the power to make solutions succeed...or fail.

When we succeed, it is due to the doing of many and all. If solutions struggle to succeed it is also never the doing of one or few. Chances of success increase when our individual egos step aside to make room for the collective voice of all.

Our social challenges aren't someone else's fault or responsibility; we all play a leading role. And we all can only choose between two options. We either DO or we DON'T answer when our community around us is in need of help. And we all know, that despite all our good efforts over the decades, it is in need of help. Just think of the...

  • Increasing rates of anxiety, depression, homelessness, addictions, poverty;

  • Housing Affordability Crisis in many of our major cities worldwide;

  • Failing 'equality' initiatives in our societies, organizations and institutes;

  • Jobs that our children are preparing for in schools which won't be around when they graduate;

  • Jobs that will be around then, yet they are not or cannot prepare for, because they haven't been invented yet;

And then we haven't even touched on how the underlying causes related to the 17 Global Goals are impacting our communities, our cities and countries.

We are inspired by the growing number of people that DO answer the call for help. But just imagine for a moment if ALL OF US would. And not just to go onto the streets and campaign—which is of course too an absolute necessity—but to come together as members of Metamorphany and develop sustainable solutions for the issues that matter to us and our local communities.
